VANCE COUNTY SCHOOLS CLASS

WHO?

For Vance County School students ages 7 to 18. No prior training is necessary.

Students who participated in the past are welcome to attend.  

There is NO CHARGE for this class.

WHAT?

This is a multi-genre (style), multi-level (beginner & intermediate) dance class.  The instructor, Ms. Amy will teach the students jazz, lyrical, hip hop and ballet. Students should wear clothing they can move in (legging, shorts, jogging pants, tank tops, t-shirt) and plan on dancing barefoot.  It is not necessary to purchase any dance specific clothing or shoes.  

WHEN?

The VCS class will be held on Tuesdays from 5:00-5:45p.m.

Classes begin on Tuesday, September 8th and continue through May.

Classes will be held every Tuesday (Sept.8-May 31) with the exception of breaks listed below. 

 

If the studio closes due to weather, it will be announced on the home page of the Ballet Arts website and on our social media pages (Facebook & Instagram) 

Students have the option of performing in the Ballet Arts recital on June 5th at McGregor Hall.

Students participating in the recital will need to attend the Dress Rehearsal at McGregor Hall

on Tuesday, June 1st. (time TBA)

Attendance is important, so please plan on participating weekly.

WHERE?

At Ballet Arts located at 401 S. Garnett St. in downtown Henderson.

Classes will be held upstairs (top floor) in Studio B/

WHY?

Ballet Arts is excited to be partnering again with the Vance County Arts Council and the Vance County Schools to offer this opportunity to Vance County students.  Here's just a few benefits of dance:
